FAQ
How is age calculated?
Age is counted day by day: years are compared first, then corrected by month and day — you only turn a year older on the actual birthday. Someone born on June 15, 1995 turns exactly 30 on June 15, 2025, and is still 29 on June 14.
How are February 29 birthdays handled?
In non-leap years, when February 29 does not exist, the birthday is treated as February 28; in leap years it stays February 29. The countdown alternates between 365 and 366 days accordingly.
Can I use a future date as the reference?
Yes. After choosing "Calculate as of a specific date" you may select a future date to see the age you will be then, or how many days remain until a future birthday. The date of birth itself cannot be later than today.
Why may the result differ from what is written on my ID card?
Official records sometimes use nominal age or round to the birth year. This tool computes the exact calendar age day by day, so small differences from documents are normal.
